MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT ST. MARY BEATRICE MEDICAL CENTRE

St Mary Beatrice Medical Centre.pngSt. Mary Beatrice medical centre is a community healthy centre located in Buhanda Community Kamwenge District in Western Uganda about 250 km away from Kampala the Uganda’s capital city.

The centre serves about 3 million people day in a community of about 5000 households.

The major health challenges in Buhanda Community include malaria, HIV/AIDS/STDS, diarrhea, Liver blindness, eye infections and skin infections. Maternal issues are a big challenge in the community. Children are at high risk of every kind of illness.

Volunteers with a medical background are needed to support the work of an understaffed team at the centre for a period of 1 month to one year.

Accommodation and food will be provided at the centre. the cost is $250 per week per person.
